The sunset was amazing Sunday night at the cabin.  It was so beautiful up there.

JR had his last game on satruday, and they suffered another loss.  They came out strong, but couldn’t hang in there to get the win.  It was a fantastic season, the team came a long ways from the beginning.  JR had another great game.

I am having a great time doing all the video production for the Bishop Kelly Knights Football Program.  I film all the games, and travel with the team on the Bus.  I do highlight films, and other films to market the team and the program.  I also am doing recruiting CDs for some of the top seniors so colleges can see if they want them in their football program.  They hand a DVD to the scout, or they will send them a link to a video online.  I create the video for them, and have it ready for scouts to watch.  It has been fun to be a part of the program.  I didn’t have any ties with anyone, but they liked my videos that I produced from the summer so they hired me.  It’s not a lot of money, but I hope will open up new possibilities with some very quality people in the future.  BK is ranked #1 in there division, so hopefully they will go all the way to the state championships this year.  It’s a catholic school, and the head coach is LDS and I didn’t even know that until later.

JR’s second game of the year.  He scored on the third play of the game.  He ran 3/4 of the field to the endzone.  This was there first score of the year.  The first game they had they got crushed, but this game they did the crushing.  There defense held the other team to 0.  It was awesome game, and Jr  had some great runs and tackles.  The final score was 13-0.

We saw a huge smoke plume, so the boys wanted to investigate what was going on.  The roads were blocked so gawkers couldn’t get in, so we took the back route to see if we could get close.  We found a dirt road of the beaten path and got right on top to see what was going on.  We were looking for blown up houses with massive devastation and we were let down with farmers burning stubble next to the dairy (glad that nobody was hurt, or lost their house).  It was fun to get out of the house with the boys, they had fun.  As we were leaving, KTVB video guy was setting up his video stuff to get the same shot as us.  It was cool that we got there before him.

Rachael and I were walking on the track behind our house, and we could see that an amazing storm was brewing.  It started to get close so we ran inside for cover, and I broke out the cameras.  I tried to get some shots of the lightning, and some of them turned out pretty cool.  Not in perfect focus, but still pretty cool.  I hope you enjoy!

I took Jr over to the Meridian Skate Park of Linder so you could mess around on his ripstick.  He had a great time, and will be going back soon.

Some random shots that I took when I drove up Kelly Canyon road while I was at the family reunion July 23rd to the 24th.  Way back when I was attending Ricks college (now BYU Idaho), I was always skiing up here. Those were some good times!

We just got back from the Drown family reunion over the weekend.  We spent the weekend at the Cutthroat Inn about 25 minutes out of Idaho falls on the way to Swan Falls near Ririe Idaho .  The views were beautiful, and the company was great but the management was very hard to deal with.  She came over and complained about everything we did.  A kid left a little fishing cup in the pond and she came over with her fishing net with the fishing cup inside and said in front of all of us (there was around 50 of us getting ready to eat) “I am not going to do this all day long” and she proceeded to complain about how inconvenienced she is.  I couldn’t believe the way she handled it.  If we were a bad group of people to deal with (we had no alcohol, no loud music or crazy stuff).  I thought we were angels, that was an easy $1500 for them, and the hardest $1500 for Drown family reunion to spend.

I wanted to say ” we paid you $1500 for the weekend, I think you can handle picking up a little trash”  (we found out later that the resort across the street was close to half the price with more amenities)  Long story short, we had a good time, but I would not recommend anyone using Cutthroat Inn, it was a terrible experience (dealing with management).  Please visit the establishment across the street, Mountain River Ranch,  their website for more info is http://www.mountainriverranch.com/
